Rimowa Luggage is constructed of Polycarbonate! Every piece of Rimowa luggage has a serial number on the frame and a Rimowa logo on the body, to insure this is their genuine product. To protect the surface, do not use harsh chemicals when cleaning. Use only a soft sponge or cloth with clean clear water, or the rimowa wax free polish and repair paste. Do not use scouring detergents, abrasive cloths or sponges, window cleaning solutions or vinegar based cleaners, solvents and agressive alcohol products or harsh solutions such as nail polish remover, etc. Rimowa luggage has a five year guarantee on their products. The guarantee covers manufacturing faults. It does not apply to improper use, airline or transport damage, cracks, scratches, or wear. Report any damage to the common carrier such as an airline or cruiseline as common carrier damage is not covered. You will need to send the luggage along with the original proof of purchase or the completed certificate guarantee to one of their authorized service centers. You will responsble for shipping charges to the repair facility. The repair charges are only paid by Rimowa when it is a manufacturing defect.
